The one where Kimberly and Tom got Married.

This wedding is all about Kimberly and Tom, but for the sake of clarity, dear reader (yes, we’ve gone full Bridgerton), let me introduce you to the three Sams involved in this tale. Yes, you read that right—three Sams. It sounds confusing, but for a bride or groom, calling out "Sam" and knowing someone will answer must be quite reassuring!

- Sam – from the Metropole

- Sam – Tremio (the videographer)

- Sam – me

Kimberly and Tom chose the Metropole Hotel for their big day. Leading up to the wedding, the weather was a tad temperamental—glorious sunshine one moment, drizzly skies the next. But on the morning of their wedding, the sky was blue, the birds were singing, and I started to suspect Kimberly had buried a multi-pack of sausages in her garden, following that TikTok wives’ tale about guaranteeing perfect weather.

We arrived at the venue—Sam, Dave, and Sam Tremio— and was greeted by Sam Metropole  … after much hilarity and trying to convince Dave to change his name for the day, we were ready to check out the beautifully decorated rooms and say hello to Kimberly, who’d stayed the night before with her bridesmaids. The moment we walked in, it was clear Kimberly (and Tom, of course) had outdone themselves. Donut walls, stick-on tattoos, thoughtful gifts for each guest, a photo collage, a Photo Booth—you name it, it was there, all done with taste and meaning.

Up we went to the bridal suite, where Kimberly was getting her hair and makeup done. Even in the middle of glam prep, she already looked like a million dollars. But once she slipped into her shimmering dress, with a barely-there hint of pink beneath the layers, she looked nothing short of regal.

Meanwhile, Tom arrived with his groomsmen and was greeted by Dave and Tremio. A quick pre-wedding photo session did wonders to ease his camera nerves, and soon it was time for the ceremony.

The ceremony itself was beautiful, but one of the standout moments was when the guests burst into song, belting out “I’ll Be There For You” from Friends—one of Kimberly’s favourites. It was equal parts engaging and lovely, with guests bopping along to the lyrics in the aisle:

“No one could ever know me

No one could ever see me

Seems you're the only one who knows

What it's like to be me…”

Afterward, everyone mingled in the sunshine with drinks in hand while we whisked Kimberly, Tom, and the bridal party off to the bandstand for some photos. We then headed to Shakey Bridge, a spot close to their hearts. The golden light bathed the couple beautifully as they stood on the bridge, giving us all the assurance that these photos were going to be something truly special.

Back at the hotel, the speeches began. As always, they were moving and full of laughter—an absolute privilege to witness.

As the sun began to set, casting that perfect golden hour glow, Kimberly revealed smoke grenades she’d been saving for this exact moment. Now, we all learned something about smoke grenades that day: they get hot, and standing in the middle of a smoky haze can leave you with a headache the size of Central Park . But the photos? Absolutely worth it. Stunning.

As the evening rolled on, Kimberly and Tom took to the dance floor for their first dance, soon to be joined by their guests, who danced the night away. Let’s just say some of those moves would’ve made Monica and Ross proud in their Friends dance competition.

Thanks for having us, Kimberly and Tom. We’re so glad you’ve both found your lobsters.
